Privacy Policy

Effective August 2026

Jot & Trot is a collaborative trip-planning app. This policy explains what information the app handles and what happens to it. The short version: we store only what the app needs to work, we don't run ads or analytics, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

We do not collect your precise location. The map shows the areas you choose to look at; the app never asks for GPS access.

Where it lives

Account and trip data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on servers in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted per user — trip data is only visible to that trip's members.

Services the app talks to

What we don't do

Sign-in emails

When you sign in with an email code, we send that code to your address. We don't use your email for marketing.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and everything tied to it, email dgperkins@gmail.com from the address on the account and we'll remove it. Trips shared with others may survive with your contributions removed or anonymised, since they also belong to the other members.

Children

Jot & Trot isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and its effective date.
